Default Canarian Weekly: Police nab an internet bully

GRAN Canaria?s Guardia Civil, based in Santa Maria de Guia, have completed an investigation into a woman?s 33-year-old former boyfriend, accused of bullying his ex-girlfriend on the internet.

He has now been charged with internet bullying, after

posting photographs on a contact page, of a woman with whom he once had a sentimental relationship.

The victim lodged an official complaint about ?someone? using her name and telephone number to upload sexual images of her on an unknown website, full of other unknown contacts.

From that point, Guardia officers began their investigation, collaborating with the social media site, along with the telecommunications? companies.

Together, they were able to collect sufficient information, as well as evidence, to link her ex-boyfriend to the crime, in addition to him being the main perpetrator.

The Guardia?s investigations began in July, immediately after the complaint was registered.

As a result, the man is now awaiting an appearance before a judge, in the courts in Arucas.
