Default Canarian Weekly: Atomic blonde

By Carl Pattison

THERE are those who dare, and those who think about it; those who can carry it off, and those who really shouldn’t.

This week, we are talking about what it takes to be super blonde, and get away with it. Most people who try this at home fail terribly, because of the quality of chemicals used. In the salon, we control, completely, the effect of these lightnening products, so as to cause minumum damage.

Lightening the hair to this level can take at least two applications to create the lift, then a toner is applied to cover over any remaining yellow. This leaves a purer-than-white blonde, that really stands out.

This process isnt recommended if your hair is already very fragile, and you will need plenty of hair treatments afterwards to keep your hair in tip-top condition.

Before this colour is carried out, you will need a full, professional consultation, to explain the ins and outs. Of all colours, this is my favourite, but it’s one that should never be tried at home, or by inexperienced stylists. One wrong move can leave you with no hair, or a big, yellow disaster!
